How much do you know about the Honey Bee?

This week at "Watson Academy" Breanna has been learning everything there is to know about your average backyard honey bee.

Together we created a large paper mache model of a honey bee. Breanna made sure that this bee had everything from a tongue to a stinger. Along with her model she wrote a report sharing some of the interesting facts that she learned about the honey bee.

Our project began at Hobby Lobby picking out the right paper and balls we were going to use as our bee body parts (you know they have three). We also needed black pipe cleaners and paper mache glue. Once we had gathered all of the supplies needed, we headed for home.

I do believe this may have been my first time using a paper mache product. Breanna took to it like fish to water. She really enjoyed peeling the glue from her fingers when she was finished.

I think this was a great way for Breanna to really get an understanding of how God created the bee and all of its unique body parts.

Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
