A glance into an Evening at the Watson's Home

So after I finish with my computer entry, I walk into the living room and find - The cat VERY close to the Fish and Daddy sleeping while Katelyn is wide awake. What is wrong with this picture? O' don't answer that.

"I call this one Cat watching Fish"

I love the composition of this photo! I was so happy to get this shot. For those of you who are getting to know me, I love Photography. For me it is a thrill to actually capture a moment in time. There are times when you know what you would like to photograph, but your subjects are not always so willing to cooperative. And then there are times like this where everything just falls in place for you and your camera.

" Cat Fever? "

Ever since Shellie the Cat came into our home both of my children have caught Cat Fever ! Breanna was spotted slurping water from a bowl on the floor in a cheetah costume. Tonight Katelyn put on a pair of cat ears and began crawling on the floor, meowing. Cat Fever is quickly spreading through the Watson home. BEWARE, you may be next!

SPOILED, JAZZ CAT !

"Shellie" loves to listen to Jazz! This evening I was cleaning the kitchen while listening to some good old Jazz music. I notice "Shellie" the cat is spread out on one of our wing back chairs, falling in and out of consciousness. It has now been made clear to me why I like this cat so much - We both Love to Relax to Jazz Music -

"An Evening of Finger Painting"

Tonight the girls enjoyed finger painting on the porch. The weather was perfect and the smiles were plentiful.

O.K. some of you may be wondering were the white cat went? It is a long story. Call me and I will explain. For now, I want you to meet the newest member of the family. This is little "Shellie" and she is a real Sweet Heart. The girls Love her and she is a perfect fit for this family. Trust me, she is not going anywhere.

"bye-bye birdie"

I wanted to share this Very Exciting Series of Pictures taken right outside our living room window. This nest was occupied by a bird known as a "House Wren." She laid 5 eggs toward the beginning of Spring with 4 of them hatching. I began taking pictures shortly after they hatched and continued until today when I witnessed all 4 of them fly from their nest for the 1st time. This last picture was taken just moments before the first one took flight. You are only able to see 3 of them, but this picture was more than I could have ever wished for. I guess I am beginning to find true pleasure in the simple things of life.

"We are all too inclined, I think, to walk through life with our eyes shut. There are things all around us, and right at our very feet, that we have never seen; because we never really looked."

Alexander Graham Bell, 1914

"Meet Sylvia the new family cat"

O.k. so a pet without any fur was not holding the girls over. The Goldfish and Hermet Crab just could not offer what Sylvia the cat could offer. She is a very friendly and beautiful cat. Breanna told me this evening that "Today was the best day of her life!" She has been very Excited through this whole adoption process. More pictures to follow......

- EASTER SUNDAY 2007 -

We wanted to share some of our Easter pictures with you! Every year we take the family to a Garden we discovered in Germantown. The flowers are always in full bloom although this year many of the plants got hit by the frost we received last week. It was still Beautiful! Breanna was so Excited when the Easter Bunny brought her the Mermaid Castle she had been hoping to receive Easter morning. We hope you all had a Very Blessed Easter.

"Katelyn LOVES the Easter Bunny!"

O.K. this year we were able to capture just how much Katelyn Loves the Easter Bunny. The church held an Easter Egg hunt and guess what? The Easter Bunny was invited. Well, Katelyn became the Easter Bunny's "BEST FRIEND!" She hugged on him/her at least a dozen times. You can see the True Love written all over her face in these pictures.

"Good Friday"

This is Breanna's rendition of "Good Friday." The figure to the right is Jesus as He wears a crown of thorns upon His head with drops of blood dripping down His face. He is nailed to the cross and the 2 figures to His left are spitting and throwing rocks at Him. Breanna included the tomb to the far left and 2 angels above (one is seated on top of the cross.)

Caterpillars have returned to our backyard and the girls are "out to get them"

- I think the girls really look forward to Spring and the arrival of the Caterpillars. I can't tell you how many "Bug Cages" we have out in the backyard, but what I can tell you is that we still don't ever seem to have enough. It is fun to see Katelyn getting involved in this Seasonal activity that Breanna once did on her own. The two girls are becoming closer friends, but with this friendship comes more disagreements. I captured this bond of "Sisterhood" in the 1st picture and it has become one of my favorite.-
