"Spring has Sprung in our Backyard"

I really am enjoying the change of seasons that we are able to experience here in the South. It is exciting to see plants that have gone dormant through the Winter come back to life in the Spring. My tomato plants are now in the ground and ready to bare fruit for me to EAT!

This is the view I woke up to all weekend while away in Hot Spings Arkansas.

Katelyn enjoying Friday Night Pizza outside at the Watsons.

Kurt was very proud of the "Pavers" he laid down here where there once was Bermuda Grass.

This is "Hermie" the Hermit Crab for those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting him.

The Easter Bunny has been sighted at the Watson's Home!

Breanna is showing off her new white fluffy "Easter Bunny" tail.

This is a laundry basket that Breanna filled with toys so that she could deliver them to Katelyn.

"Mom, I Caught A Frog!"

Tonight Breanna caught a frog all by herself!
(notice the pride in her face)

Let me introduce you to "Hopper" the frog.

Breanna reminds me of myself at this age. I caught my share of frogs and bugs of all kinds.

"Let's Get Gardening"

Breanna discovered what the spas are charging a small fortune for - The Mud Treatment -

This is our New Garden Box. Kurt built this for all of my vegetables. As you can see we are still in the process of digging out all of the Bermuda Grass.

Breanna said that this dried mud all over her arms would keep the bugs from biting her. I believe that is exactly why the elephants toss mud onto their backs.

It is Wonderful to watch Breanna and Katelyn experience all of the Simple Pleasures of Spring and the Amazing Adventures that lay ahead of them in their own Backyard.

It's beginning to look a lot like Springtime!

This is the spot in our neighbor's backyard where we spotted five deer (two babies) early one morning. We missed the picture opportunity, but we're hopeful that they will return soon.

Katelyn and Breanna wait for a bird to feed from the new window bird feeder that we placed outside several of our windows.

Seeing robins in your yard is always one of the first signs that Spring is coming soon.

A beautiful, bright colored male cardinal showed up to have some lunch from the new window feeder. Looks like the other neighborhood birds may have beat him to it.

Katelyn daydreams about what it might be like to be outdoors with all of the wild birds in her backyard.
